I slept in 'til 12:00. I didn't go to school. I watched spongebob. I played my guitar. I ate a small pizza. I went to Ally Melendez' house.
Nearly Perfect day.
Now let me tell you just what we did at Ally's house with Rachel and Eliza.
First, we sat and talked. I eavesdropped on conversations of old boys that they would some day marry. Then Ally's sweet sister Michael made us milkshakes, which were QUITE delicious. Later, we went up stairs and had some 'sushi', if you could even call it that. It was like some fried vegetables in rice paper, but I did indeed enjoy it. Later we went downstairs and looked at old photo albums of her parents wedding and of her as a toddler, and boy, let me tell you, they were high quality photos. After looking at the wonderful pictures we wrote some letters to Santa. I have written such letters many times in my life, but the method in sending them to Santa was much different this year. After we finished writing them and wishing our wishes, we places them in Ally's wood burning furnace. Why, do you ask? According to Ally ( who I trust very much ), after the letter is burned the smoke floats all the way to the North Pole where Santa then puts the letters back together. Not quite the traditional way, but for sure the superior way.
After all of the fun times at the Melendez home, I rode my batcycle home in the 10-degree cold. While I was riding down the street, everything was unusually calm. All I could hear was my own breathing and my tired rolling across the road. I stopped for a moment to listen to the silence. Even though the cold was bitter, it was nice to hear nothing for a few moments. But then, the cold absorbed the niceness and my ears turned to ice, so I decided that it would be best for me to hurry home if I wanted to keep my lobes.
Today was a nice Pre-Thanksgiving day.
Thank you, beautiful people, for making it happen.
