A lot of times I find myself making really cheesy analogies in my head just to pass the time. I was thinking about things that we use but never really get to use all the way because we lose them before we get the chance. Example number one, Chapstick. I have bought probably 10 sticks of Burt's Bees lip balm and I haven't finished one of them before it either goes through the wash and becomes a waxy mess, or I just lose it somewhere. Never have I reached the plastic platform that pushes the lip balm up through the containing tube (or at least I've heard that's what it's like, I've never actually seen it...). Example number two, pencils. never since Elementary school have I sharpened a pencil until it simply can be sharpened no more. And even then, I just sharpened them because I thought that was the cool things to do. It was hip, it was fly. ANYWAY, the analogy I thunk up while I was walking home from my bus stop was how it's very common for an eraser to be all worn down and useless, but seldom is a pencil used to it's full potential before it gets lost or thrown away because the eraser is gone. This just made me think of how we spend so much time trying to change what we are when we could be adding to ourselves with so many great opportunities and experiences.
Now that I look back on this analogy I realize it has a few flaws and loop holes. Beside that, we should all build ourselves up with new things rather than taking away and replacing things that we already have.
Just something to think about. PonderPonderPonder.
Thank you for your time, pretties.
