So I went to 'the barn' today with Ally, Rachel and Eliza. I didn't even know I was going with them until like 2 minutes after we left. Talk about being spontaneous. So we got up there, inhaled some dust, smelled some smells and went to get a horse named Fancy. Ally was trying to get all of Fancy's energy out before we rode her, and she was making her trot around in circles, but then she got a little too excited and ran away to the other end of the field where all the other horses were. She turned around and started running toward us. ALL of the other horses followed. Rachel and I were already kind of afraid of horses to begin with, and as soon as I saw them running toward us a piece of me died. The lady who was washing one of the horses, who was also wearing no shoes while standing in all the poop n' such, told us to move because they would run us over. Ally tried to open the gate, but we all ended up jumping over then fence frantically. Much later after a few more stampede scares, Ally caught fancy and we all rode her around for a spell. Then Eliza wanted to try riding her bare-back, so she did. To get on a horse bare-back you pretty much have to fling yourself over the horse by holding on to it's mane. So Liza rode Fancy for a few minutes. I really just wanted to jump on the horse, because I knew I could do it perfectly, so I did. I did it perfectly. After I was on the horse, Ally told me to sit sideways and then backwards. This is where it gets exciting. Buckle up. So Ally starts walking the horse around, all the while I'm sitting on her backwards with nothing to hold on to. Then, she started to go a little faster and I was freakin' out. Then, Fancy bucked me off (according to Ally) and I did a front flip off her bum and landed on my side. The adrenaline pumping through my veins made me get up so fast, I don't even remember how it went down; all I remember is hitting the ground. After I stood up at light speed, I ran over by the gate without even thinking.
Eliza was laughing her head off and Rachel looked like she wasn't really sure what to think. Fancy glared. Ally apologized numerous times, but I was fine and I walked away with only a few scrapes. Ally, don't feel bad, it was funny.

Horses just aren't my forte. I like to watch them run, but not when I'm on them, or they're coming toward me. They are much larger and more powerful than I, therefore I have a right to be afraid, no matter how beautiful they might be.
After we put fancy away, we climbed to the top of a pile of former horse manure that is now dirt. It was deceptively avalanche prone, despite all the vegetation growing from it. That was fun.
Thank you for the good times Ally. I won't ever forget that.
